WORK DONE

CORE GAME DESIGN

Had to design an experience that would prove the strengths of VR which is the perception of depth and to utilize that strength in the clients requirement, to excite guests/visitors into Motocross racing. Settled initially on 2014 with an on-rail racer, where the guest only has access to a throttle like the implementation of throttle only controls in 'Asphalt 9 Legends'.

LOCKING TIME STEP

Since VR can easily cause motion sickness, the experience had to be locked to 60 FPS. The code base had to be written in with this in mind to ensure that the game/experience was providing the best experience at the booth.

UPDATE CORE GAME DESIGN

After the grand success of the experience in 2014-15 Auto Expo in New Delhi. TVS wanted an even more enhanced experience of the Racing Aces experiences, to which the design went with full throttle and braking and minimum steering. The experience also utilized custom solutions for steering, acceleration, and braking. An Arduino micro-controller that had gyro and input sensors to provide input response from the physical bike that the guest would ride upon.
Implementation of the KOR-FX haptics vest and a custom built physics simulation platform which translates the simulation experience in the VR world to a real world effect in terms of weight shift and vehicle rumble.

BUILT THE VR PIPELINE

Had to build a VR pipeline at Nextwave in order to provide easy development flow between art department and dev team. Provided a VR tool that allows the art team to visualize their work in VR.
