WORK DONE
PRO CONTROLS DESIGN
Designed and implemented the Pro Controls in WCC 2 which provided a more nuanced controls for batting. The new control scheme allowed the gamer to correctly hit over fielders and between them.
SHOUTBOARD
Designed and implemented the Shoutboard message board for gamers to share their game's highlight, send challenges, and also if they are feeling more generous to send them coins. Gamers can also use stickers to emote better with certain localized stickers.
CHALLENGE A FRIEND
Designed and implemented the Challenge a friend mode which allowed gamers to send challenges in terms of Batting Challenge and-or Bowling Challenges. This was the first foray for Nextwave Multimedia into multiplayer albeit it was turn based or Asynchronous form of multiplayer it encouraged most of the game's audience to play the game online in the hopes of getting challenges or sending challenges.
BATTING MULTIPLAYER
Designed and implemented the Batting Multiplayer game mode in WCC 2, which uses node.js platform for the backend infrastructure. The game mode is 5 player free-for-all where the highest score at the end of 12 balls thrown is the winner.
NPL SEASON STANDINGS
Designed a time based event for the NPL tournament that engaged more than 800,000 gamers in a global tournament. Gamers were asked to compete and win matches to which the scores are registered into the leaderboard. They are put into 1 of 10 teams and they need to work together to ensure their team wins. Gamers who provide the most amount wins earn a percentage of the loot.
The loot keeps increasing as more wins are registered in the leaderboard making it that much more exciting.
BLITZ TOURNAMENT DESIGN
Designed and implemented the Blitz Tournament which was designed after finding out that gamers love shorter match formats, creating 18 match, 2 over knock out tournament provided the cure to the itch that gamers wanted.
